
International
Peterborough Scouts actively support the ideals of worldwide scouting. In weekly meetings, time is given for activities based on other countries, or that have been passed on from international communities. In all sections, the programme will include elements of international work which develops understanding, respect and appreciation of a variety of faiths, religions and communities.

In addition to activities carried out at a sectional level, Peterborough Scouts are proud to support a variety of international events. Following successful participation in previous international camps and World Scout Jamboree's, the district continues to promote the following international opportunities to it's members:
Roverway 2018

This event, held every two years for those aged 16-22, is being held in The Netherlands over 12 days in July and August 2018. The UK contingent package will include:

A trip to Amsterdam pre-event

Opening and Closing ceremonies

A 5-day tour of The Netherlands ending at the international camp in Zeewolde
As a patrol of 6 to 8 participants from Cambridgeshire, one young person will be chosen to be the Patrol Leader and asked to lead the contingent.

This opportunity is available to all those who are registered in Scouting from the Peterborough District who are aged 16-22 at the time of the event.

World Scout Jamboree 2019
The 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019 is being held jointly by The USA, Mexico and Canada between 22nd July and 2nd August 2019. The UK Contingent have allocated 5 patrols to Cambridgeshire, meaning that 5 adult leaders and 45 explorer scouts from across the county will be heading off for a once in a lifetime opportunity.

There will be applications for participants who will need to be aged 14-18 at the time of the event. Those who wish to attend as adults will also be subject to an application process.

CamJam 2019
CamJam is an activity camp which spans a week. It is an opportunity for Scouts & Guides from around the world to come together and to share experiences.
​
It is held every four years at the Huntingdon Racecourse in Cambridgeshire. The main aims for the Jamboree are to see everyone smiling, having fun, enjoying the adventure, meeting new people and making new friends. They do this by offering a varied and exciting programme of activities for all participants with a community feel across the whole site and a vibrant, lively atmosphere.
